Officially Homeowners!

Well it's official....we are homeowners! Although closing was not the smoothest thing in the world today, we now have the keys. Brian went over today to put new locks on the doors and cut down some horribly overgrown shrubs from the front of the house. Over the next few weeks we will be replacing the roof, pressure washing and painting the exterior, replacing the carpet, and putting in new heating and air units, just to list a few items. Basically just the small stuff.....not so much! We will be doing most all of the interior renovation ourselves over the summer, so bring on the home improvement tips! Here are a few more interior pics.....hopefully we will have some great "before and after" shots before we move in.

House Pictures

So this is the house. We are scheduled to close this Tuesday. Pretty exciting! I cannot believe this new chapter is really starting. The contractor plans to start his work by the end of the week, which will obviously include filling in the pool. It is so amazing how the Lord has provided this house. We have quite a "to do" list before moving in, so we plan to stay in the apartment until the middle of the summer.We can't wait to see how everything will turn out after the renovation is done....or at least partly done!

Baby on the Way!!

So this is our baby's first official picture at 7 weeks old. We were also able to see the little heart beating already! It is so amazing how quickly everything begins to form. We are constantly reminded of the miracle of new life. We are also constantly reminded that this life is not held in our hands, rather the mighty and gracious hands of the Lord.
At this point, I am 10 weeks and 4 days pregnant.....nearing the end of the first trimester. We are hoping the second trimester will no longer welcome an upset tummy.

Here We Go!

And we're off to a new start! We've got a baby on the way and Ashley is 10 weeks along today! Come November 3rd, we hope to welcome a new little family member into the world!
